After a day exploring Hong Kong and taking the city's cable car ride, we took the train up to Tai Po and back to see what we could see.

We went up to Tai Po to find the China-Hong Kong trains that run on the line through that part of Hong Kong. There is a covered pedestrian bridge with open sides a few hundred metres from the train station that provided excellent cover for the strong, driving rain. After, we headed to Tai Wo (the next station) and stumbled across the Hong Kong Railway Museum before going back to Hong Kong Island for a tram ride.

A high school classmate gave us a ride from downtown Seoul to the Yongsan Electronics Market. I saw a cement-carrying train from the highway and a bit of passenger traffic, but didn't ave any more time in Seoul to explore.

We traveled to the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Hsinchu Science and Innovation Park, some of the many highly effective innovation centres in Taiwan.

We traveled from Taipei to Kaohsiung on the Taiwanese bullet train.

We woke up in Tainan and worked our way north to Changhua to see the roundhouse before returning on the bullet train to Taipei from Taichung.
